After lots of rumours over the past week, it is seeming almost certain that Allan Green 29-1 (20) will take the place of Jermain Taylor in the Showtime Super Six World Boxing Classic super middleweight tournament.

Green was originally going to take on Sakio Bika 28-3-2 (19) in a kind of eliminator on February 5th with the winner advancing into the tournament.

However it seems like Bika has withdrawn and Green will now meet Andre Ward 21-0 (13) on the 17th April.

Ward who as we know trounced pre-tournament co-favourite Mikkel Kessler in his last fight will again have home advantage in his home city of Oakland, California.
