In my humble opinion Curry is one of the most over rated fighters of the 20th century. He was very good but only for a very very brief time. Trinidad wears him down and stops him late.

Curry for me. When he was "on" -he was sensational. The 2 fights with Starling-a masterclass on the lost art of infighting. The KO over Iceman- one of THE best ever IMHO. I edge towards Don-i believe his technical skills and accuracy would eventually get to Tito.

what a fight this would have been!
both fighters proved their vulnerabilities but the big difference would have been curry,s better all round boxing skills and trinidad,s major flaw was his inability to cope with good boxing skills.a definite win for curry for me..probably by late round stoppage.

Donald had eight successful title defenses plus two non-title wins in three years. He won all but two of the ten fights by KO.

Tito is too formidable for someone like Curry imo.

Curry was a poised precision puncher with quick hands and he had a beautiful counter left hook and i can see him troubling Trinidad early on but Tito would eventually get to him imo.

All the people that stood infront of Tito got beat down, even the slick Boxers. Dela Hoya, Hopkins did not stand infront of Tito they kept him turning with lateral movement, Curry seem to use the ring less and less the later he got into his career, so thats one of the reasons i dont see him sustaining his success against Tito, he would probably fight from mid range and try to pick Tito off with his speed and precise straight punches, he may even drop Tito, but Tito will eventually find anyone who stands infront of him, well someone who does not use lateral movement to offset his power with definitely get it.

To me this would have been a cracker of a fight and not easy to call. Curry has taken a lot of criticism for his career post welterweight but at 147 he was a hell of a fighter. I would expect early on Curry to counter and boss Felix and score a knockdown or two. However Felix always founds ways to win at this weight and his body attack will later take its toll. If over 12 rounds I go for Curry on UD but over the old 15 round limit, Felix by 14 round TKO.

Interesting because Trinidad never fought past 12 rounds- although the guy no doubt had the aerobic stamina with all his marathon running. Mabye I'm underestimating Curry, but I reckon Trinidad'd blow him out Joppy-style, as McCallum shopwed, oit only took one LH and Trinidad threw plenty..
