Reports are surfacing that a deal for a scheduled March 13th bout between pound-for-pound
champions Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr could be almost complete.
ESPN writer Dan Rafael's sources have informed him that Mayweather has agreed to the terms for the fight with Pacquiao. The bout will be at the welterweight limit of 147 lbs and will air on March 13th on HBO PPV.
Bob Arum has been gone to Philippines to finalize the deal and to talk with Manny Pacquiao. There was a little bit of confusion about the date of match as the first choice, the 1st May, was rejected by Pacquiao.
Pacquiao will be busy for his congressional election campaigns and the election will be held on 10th of May. He had already a date scheduled with HBO and that is March 13.
The venue has to be decided yet and officials are thinking over Las Vegas, the Dallas Cowboy's Stadium and New Orleans Superdome.
